Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process where a neutral third party (mediator) facilitates conversation and communication between disputing parties with the goal of reaching a mutually-agreeable solution.
The mediation process:
The parties sign an agreement to mediate.
The mediator facilitates negotiation between the parties.
If an agreement is reached, the parties draft and sign a “Mediation Settlement Agreement”.
