I’m Claire Taitte, founder of Resolve With Clarity.

After graduating with a degree in psychology, I decided I needed a few years of life and work experience before pursuing a master’s degree. I submitted a paper(!) resume to Southwest Airlines at a job fair, and was hired as a Crew Scheduler. I spent the next 20 years leading through crisis and solving complex logistical problems at Southwest.

The airline industry is thick with conflict—labor unions, heavy regulatory oversight, operational vs. commercial interests. I learned how to navigate a crisis calmly and creatively.

When the COVID-19 crisis hit our industry, I decided to take an early retirement package to craft a career with greater social impact.

I took a year-long sabbatical to focus on learning and serving my community. During my sabbatical, I began researching alternative dispute resolution. I read High Conflict by Amanda Ripley and enrolled in mediation training.

As I learned more about the role of a mediator, I felt like I’d been doing it my whole life.

As a product manager, I mediated between technology and business interests. In labor negotiations, I often took a more neutral position to facilitate communication between both company and union leaders. Sometimes my tendency to present both sides of an argument can drive my coworkers + friends crazy!

At the end of 2021, I founded Resolve With Clarity LLC to offer mediation and consulting services. I’m excited to use my experience to help you get unstuck.

Besides a mediator and consultant, I’m also a dancer, a cancer survivor, and a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
